Treat your diabetes in a completely new way with Dexcom G5® Mobile continual glucose monitoring (CGM)
CGM with alarm from Dexcom:
• Reduces HbA1c with fewer complications 2,3
• Less time with hypoglycaemia 2
• Sleep sounder at night
• Monitor your child's glucose values wherever you are
• The only CGM system that
has been approved for dosing1
Continual glucose monitoring (CGM) shows the glucose value in a completely different way than a standard monitor. Unlike a finger prick, which only provides one single value for one single moment in time, Dexcom G5 shows glucose values in real time, all of the time. You always know how quickly and in which direction your glucose values are changing and you are warned, for example, if your value is high or low.
With Dexcom G5 Mobile it has never been easier to make a treatment decision, as you no longer need a finger prick for confirmation*. The system also has the highest measurement accuracy 4,5,6,7 and a monitoring function with warnings and alarms, which you set yourself. Dexcom G5 makes it easier for you to check your diabetes, day and night.
Reduces HbA1c with fewer complications
CGM with alarms from Dexcom reduces HbA1c, even for people who use an insulin pen, therefore reducing the risk of complications2,3
Less time with hypoglycaemia makes your life safer
Studies show that a CGM with alarms from Dexcom results in less time with hypoglycaemia, day and night2
A unique alarm helps to prevent severe hypoglycaemia
Dexcom is the only CGM system that has an automatic alarm at 3.1 mmol/L that cannot be turned off, helping to prevent severe hypoglycaemia. Reassurance, day and night
Low and high alarms reassure you
With CGM with alarms you are warned immediately if your glucose value gets too high or too low. You can also prevent unnecessary fluctuations with high values and hypoglycaemia – both day and night. You yourself decide the levels for your alarms; and whether an alarm should be off or on.
Act if there are rapid changes
Your Dexcom can also warn you if your value is rising quickly – for example, if you miss your mealtime dose – or if it is falling quickly. This means that you can easily prevent hypoglycaemia or high values. Practical and reassuring in the short term – crucial in the long term.
Monitor your child's glucose values in real time wherever you are
The unique feature of Dexcom G5's follow function is its own app, which allows parents, for example, to monitor their child's glucose values on their own phone. If your child's glucose values are too high or too low, it will alert you. This means that you can act, for example, if your child has hypoglycaemia or their blood glucose is too high. Reassurance – that the parent can always keep check.
Trust the value and give the correct dose
The high measurement accuracy (low MARD*) means that you can dose insulin, based on the values, trend arrow and trend graph that Dexcom G5 shows you4,5,6,7. A lower MARD increases the likelihood that your glucose values are correct – and that alarms and warnings are correct.
Easy to start and simple to use
Dexcom G5 is easy to start and simple to use. It has a transmitter that does not need to be charged. It is also the only CGM system that has a sensor that has been approved for 7 days' use
Automatic downloading to the Diasend app
Your glucose values are transferred automatically to Diasend. You do not need cables to transfer via your computer, as your values appear in Diasend automatically and you can share your values with the clinic. The Diasend app in your mobile makes it easy for you to analyse your values and to keep a better check on your diabetes.

* If your glucose warnings and glucose values do not reflect your systems or what you expect, you should check with a finger prick. At least two finger samples are required per day for calibration.
